Job description
Are you someone with technical affinity who gets energy from being on the road and interacting with a wide range of people? If so, join us at Greener as a Service Engineer! A green world is our driving force. Our mission is to make the temporary energy market emission-free. We are growing fast and have big plans.
What are you going to do in your role as Service Engineer?
As a Service Engineer, you will do the commissioning of our batteries. On location you will meet different stakeholders, and together with them you will make sure that our sustainable energy solutions are deployed in the best possible way. The work is very diverse: starting up battery systems to laying cable plans, connecting multiple batteries, grid connections or generators, and performing minor maintenance on the battery systems. You work independently and you are in close contact with the customer. This is what you really like about your job! Our projects are located throughout the Netherlands and increasingly across the border. However, you don't have to like traveling; if you prefer to stay only in the Netherlands, that's no problem. Also good to know: It is not necessary to live near Amsterdam for this position. We encourage people from the eastern and southern regions of the Netherlands to apply as well.
Besides projects in the field, we at Greener also do remote monitoring and control. This can be done from home or from the office. Here you keep an eye on the performance of all the projects and report it to the customer if requested. Greener develops all software to enable this monitoring and control itself. If any functionality is missing, you will be in direct contact with our software department to discuss whether this can be adjusted in the software. It may happen that a project needs to be visited outside office hours. Agreements will be made within the team and an on-call service will be used.
Why do you want to work at Greener?
In addition to contributing to a greener world, you choose to work with us for the following reasons, among others:
- A varied role in which you will learn a lot, meet people, and visit places
- An inspiring and sustainable work environment with a committed and fun team
- Pension plan (8% with no employee contribution, partner pension)
- Free vegetarian lunch with the team when you are in the office
- 30 vacation days per year on a full-time basis
Job requirements
What do we expect from you?
- You are a true Greener - someone who wants to make the world a little better, and likes to roll up their sleeves to do so
- Relevant experience (as a mechanic, for example) is useful, but technical affinity and a desire to learn are sufficient
- Dutch and English language skills, as we occasionally work with international customers and colleagues. If you speak French or German it is an advantage
- A valid Dutch B(/E) driving license
- Certificates VCA, forklift are a plus
Does this role match your ambitions and experience, and do you see yourself as our Service Engineer? Don't hesitate to apply now with your CV along with a brief motivation letter. Our recruiter, Manouk, will contact you within 5 working days to discuss the next steps. Of course, you're always welcome to join one of our service engineers to get a firsthand experience of our work, or have lunch at our office to immerse yourself in our welcoming atmosphere.
We look forward to receiving your application and the opportunity to connect with you!
Please note: At this stage, Greener is not able to provide a visa sponsorship/work permit for the Netherlands. We can, therefore, only take applicants into procedure who have a valid Dutch work permit.
To all W&S bureaus/recruitment agencies: We appreciate the effort but do not need collaboration at this time.
